Yi (David) Ju, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI), La Trobe University

Yi (David) Ju is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Investigator and Head of the Nanomedicine and Gene Therapeutics Laboratory at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI), La Trobe University. He completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2017 under Professor Frank Caruso, studying stealth nanoparticles and bio–nano interactions, before continuing as a Research Fellow. He later joined RMIT University as a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow and ARC DECRA Fellow, pioneering human studies of PEG immunogenicity and mRNA–LNP kinetics. In 2025, he established his laboratory at ONJCRI to advance mRNA–LNP science and cancer immunotherapy.
