Bio:
Associate Professor Tamás Fischer leads the Programmable RNA Systems Lab and serves as Head of the Division of Genome Sciences and Cancer at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University. His research combines fundamental RNA biology with synthetic RNA engineering to understand how chromatin regulation, transcription, RNA processing and surveillance shape cellular function, while developing programmable RNA technologies that sense cellular state and precisely control gene expression. The long-term goal is to translate fundamental discoveries in RNA biology into next-generation RNA therapeutics and biomedical technologies.
