Bio:
Dr Natália Sampaio is a Team Leader at the Centre for Innate Immunity and Infectious Diseases at the Hudson Institute in Melbourne, Australia. She investigates how cytosolic RNA receptors of the innate immune system, such as MDA5 and PKR, are activated and regulated. Dr Sampaio is particularly interested in their role in both viral infection and inflammatory diseases, including rare neurodevelopmental disorders. She is also investigating how these RNA receptors may respond to novel mRNA therapies.
